Mercury Free Philosophy

We are a mercury-free dental practice!

Advances in material technology have made it possible to use composite, or tooth-colored, fillings throughout the mouth.  The American Dental Association and the FDA continue to list amalgam (metal fillings containing mercury) as a safe and durable material for use in dental fillings.  However, my preference for myself, my staff, and my patients is not to work with amalgam - except when patient fillings need to be safely removed.   There is no debate - composite fillings provide a vastly superior esthetic result, and after all, we are here to create beautiful smiles! *

*Note that not all dental insurances will provide full coverage for composite fillings in posterior teeth.
